Japan Exhibition
I am pleased to announce that the 154th Indiana State Fair will showcase our relationship with one of our closest partners, the nation of Japan. For the first time in its history, the Indiana State Fair will devote the exhibition space at the Grand Hall, a prominent building located on Main Street of the Fairgrounds, for an in-depth exploration of one particular country and its connection with Indiana.
The Japan Exhibition will be designed to appeal to a broad range of visitors to the State Fair, which runs for two and a half weeks in August, morning to night. From contemporary to traditional components, and with interactive displays and performances, the exhibit will feature displays on the Japanese family and culture, while capturing the positive economic impact of the partnerships between the state and Japan. The Indiana State Fair draws 1 million visitors annually, with the Japan Exhibition expected to be one of the largest Japan events to take place in North America in 2010.
The Japan Exhibition will provide a family-friendly forum to engage thousands of Hoosiers on the value of our partnerships in a global economy. With your help, the 154th Indiana State Fair will strengthen our partnerships with Japan and establish a new international tradition. The State Fair has already started that process by partnering with the Japan-America Society of Indiana and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in planning the exhibition. 日本特別展は、8月の2週間半にわたるフェア期間中、朝から晩まで、フェアを訪れる幅広い層のお客様に魅力ある企画といたします。インディアナ州と日本のパートナーシップがもたらす経済的なプラス効果を紹介する一方で、日本の現代から伝統文化にいたるまでの要素を取り入れ、インターアクティブな展示や、パフォーマンスなど、日本の家族や文化に焦点をあて紹介する予定です。インディアナ･ステート･フェアは、毎年約百万人の集客があり、この日本パビリオンは、2010年北米最大の日本に関連するイベントになると予想されます。
