Corporate Seminar in Japanese

New Trends in US Employment, Labor, and Immigration Law
Under the Obama Administration

How Japanese Companies Should Prepare for Any Impact

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Japan-America Society of Indiana (JASI) invite you to join us for a complimentary informational seminar entitled, “New Trends in US Employment, Labor, and Immigration Law Under the Obama Administration” on Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The seminar will be presented in Japanese only.

The Obama Administration has enacted many new laws and regulations including significant health care reform. Many new laws that are already in place or that are expected to pass in the near future will impact the operations of Japanese companies doing business in the United States.  Particularly, the trends under the current administration in labor, employment, and immigration will directly impact many Japanese companies in hiring and HR practices. The current administration also has increased the budget for enforcement so employers must act proactively to stay competitive and avoid any enforcement problems and costly litigation. This seminar addresses current issues under both new and pending laws and recommends practical measures for Japanese companies.
